Following the undeniable success of the Cadillac ATS, a fast sedan that could out surpass any German competitor in the segment both on the street and on the racetrack, Cadillac tackles the segment again with two superbly appointed sedans that are void to make even more noise on the market.

The all-new 2020 Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5 were presented at a media event just before the Montreal Auto Show. Both high-performance luxury sedans are offered in Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and the high-performance V trims.

Outside, the Premium Luxury models get bright accenting on the door handles and the window surrounds and sport 18-inch Sterling Silver alloy wheels. The Sport models get a unique front fascia, black window mouldings and rear spoiler, clear taillight clusters as well as 18-inch Pearl Nickel wheels. The Sport models also rely on Brembo brakes for stopping power.

Under the hood, the 237 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine rules as the standard powerplant. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission in the CT4, while the CT5 gets a 10-speed unit. Those looking for more power may opt for a more powerful 2.7-litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit which develops 310 hp in the CT4. As for the CT5, the optional unit is a 335 hp turbocharged 3.0-litre V6.

Where the fun really starts is with the high-performance V variants, known worldwide for their demonic power and handling capabilities. The CT4-V is powered by a 320 hp engine, while the CT5-V stands at 355 hp.
